Ryan Adamsons - Composer - Arranger - Trumpeter - Teacher

August 27, 2018

This is another min blog about a composer/ arranger whose work I have come to really admire. That is Ryan Erik Adamsons.

I have played many gigs in the section with Ryan as a jazz trumpeter and have been most impressed with his unique and expressive solo style. Ryan is also an experienced teacher in the Chicago area school systems.

Then I became aware of his arranging and composition, and it is excellent. He has written music commissioned by jazz luminaries the likes of Sean Jones. Ryans music written such that it challenges without being unplayable. His charts read down smoothly every time.

Any K12-college music director would be well served by looking into Ryans' music for their band(s). As with the other composers I've paid homage to in these min blogs, Ryan will do commissions, as well.

Here is his web site for you consideration.

Check out Ryan's music. You'll be glad you did.

Respectfully submitted,

Nick Drozdoff
